Dear Korean War Veterans, Hello, my name is Yae-eun Lee and I am 19 years old, living in Seoul. How are you doing these days? I think the world is in an emergency because of the Corona Virus these days. Are you healthy and doing well? This is a very important time for me to take the college entrance exam, and I'm a little nervous because the opening of school has been postponed and all the tests are being postponed. I am studying at home as school start is postponed. I'm doing a minimal amount of outdoor activities, such as ordering food by delivery without leaving the house. Since I can't go to private academies, I listen to lectures online at home, and I read an article that says schools can also teach online. It is said that infectious diseases usually change history, so I think this Corona-19 will change most of the offline activities to online activities. I really think the digital age is going to come sooner, following the fourth industrial revolution. Actually, my dream is to become a chemistry teacher, so I'm interested in how classes are conducted online in this situation. By the time I realize my dream later and become a chemistry teacher, I think it will be my daily life to teach online! I'm a little worried at this point, but I'm curious and excited about what it would be like to have an online class. I'm afraid many people will lose their social skills when the online era arrives. In Korea, people are doing socially making distance campaign, they have to wear masks every day, and I think Korean culture is changing. People go to pharmacy every day to buy masks, but there's always a lack of demand. And although the number of confirmed patients is decreasing these days, I'm worried that there are still a lot of patients. Still, I think it's fortunate that Korea has a better medical system compared to other countries. It hurts me to see the quiet streets, and I hope this situation ends soon. I sometimes go for a walk during studying, because it's stuffy, and these days the weather is nice and the flowers are blooming, so it's good for a walk. I often think it's all thanks to you to having such a peaceful day. Because I think we might still be living in fear of war without your sacrifice. I'm always so grateful to you. How could you sacrifice for another country like that? It was such a wonderful decision and I think it was a decision I could never make. I've been studying Korean history little by little these days, and in the process, I think I'm thankful to think about your sacrifice and I'm so sorry I can't do anything for you. I hope this letter can be of help to you. The weather has improved, but I still don't think there's a safe place in the world, so I hope you take care of your health. I will always pray for your health and happiness. Thank you for your sacrifice once again, and hope you can have only good days every day. Sincerely, Yae-eun Lee
