On June 26, several US veterans of the Korean War and their family members visited the UN Memorial Cemetery to pay their respects and perform wreath laying ceremonies. President Moon Jae-in was planned to attend, but was forced to cancel when dangerous weather conditions prevented his helicopter from taking off in Seoul that morning. The President’s address was instead delivered by the Minister of Patriots’ and Veterans’ Affairs, who then performed a wreath-laying ceremony at the graves of unknown UN fallen of the Korean War.
