An interment ceremony was held in the Veterans’ Grave Area of the United Nations Memorial Cemetery in Korea for the late Joseph Charles Shepard, a US Korean War veteran.
The ceremony was attended by approximately 80 people, including a representative of the bereaved family; Dewey Moore, US Consul in Busan; Kang Seok-du, Head of the Ulsan Regional Office of Patriots and Veterans Affairs; Lee Won-woo, Director-General for North American Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Jin H. Park, Brigadier General and Commander of the US 19th Expeditionary Sustainment Command; representatives of the Boy Scouts of America, US Korean War veterans, and members of the UN Peace Volunteers.
