Dear, Veterans of Thailand
First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to Thailand veterans who fought for Korea's liberal democracy.
In Thailand, there are a total of 6,326 Korean War Veterans, of which 129 were died, 1139 were injured, and five were missing.
Thnak to your service, we are currently living a noraml and precious daily life. In honor of the scarefices of the Veterans who deliverd the precious gift to us, I would like to remind you of the help you gave us here.
Thai Veternas participated in the Korean War, starting with their arrival at Busan Port on Nov 7, 1950.
The Army was active in Pyongyang-Suwon withdrawal operation(평양-수원 철수작전), the Yeoncheon district battle(연천지구 전투), and fork chop battle(포크찹 전투).
In partcular, despite the siege of the Chinese army at Battle of Fork chop on Nov 7, 1952. They were resisted to the end, eventually leading to the dispersion withdrawal of the Chinese army.
204 officers and 2,281 soldiers partcipated in the Navy.
As a military gains, They were received awards such as Korean Order of Admiral Yi Sun-sin (대한민국 충무공 훈장), and the US Order of Silver Star.
In the Jun 1951, when the Thai Air Force arrived, emergency supplies and patient evacuation operation were frequent. At this time, the Thai Air Force mainly carreied out this mission with transport planes equipped with beds and medical equipment.
As such, They have not lost their fierce momentum not only on land and sea, but also in that sky.
Thailand participated as a member of the UN military during the Korean War in 1950 and has strenthened friendship.
We are not going to never forget that they have to protect the freedom of Republic of Korea, not the freedom of your country, in line the Thailand and the Land of Freedom.
