Burial Story
Pearce is acknowledged as the SAAF's first helicopter pilot and flew Tsetse Fly spraying operations with the S-51 in South Africa. He served during WWII in 4 & 5 Sqdns, in the latter he became the O.C. Flew P-40 during his Tours, later 5 Sqdn became the only SAAF Sqdn to use the P-51 during WWII. He was also the Chief Instructor of 11 O.T.U. during WWII. His nickname was Bunny.
