Paying TributePeople all over the world, who love peace and freedom, may pay tribute and give thanks for the sacrifice made by the fallen.
Wall of Remembrance
The flags of 22 UN nations that participated in the Korean War are flown in the Symbolic Area. Seventeen nations suffered casualties in the war, and 11 nations including Korea have their sons and daughters interred at the UNMCK. In other words, Belgium, Colombia, Ethiopia, Greece, Luxemburg, Philippines, Thailand, Italy, Denmark, Germany, India, and Sweden have no graves at the UNMCK.
The US had the highest number of casualty in the Korean War. All the fallen in the war were repatriated after the war. Those currently interred at the UNMCK are the soldiers who had participated in the Korean War and expressed their wish to be buried at the UNMCK.
