Burial Story
Pte Rabone was the son of William Bernard and Catherine (nee Gibbons) Rabone. (Cemetery records list him as John Henry Rabone, but other records state he was John Anthony Rabone.) He was born in Birmingham, Warwickshire, and married Mary O'Brien in 1949. They had a daughter, Maureen, in 1950 and he had a tattoo on his right forearm of a bird and scroll, love and Maureen.
