Burial Story

Cpl Martin was the son of William Fielding and Florence Jane (nee Hall) Martin of Tongham, Surrey.  He had been buried in the military cemetery in Kaesong and his remains were returned in Operation Glory after the ceasefire. He was identified and interred in Busan in 1955. Capt Richard Rutt, a British army chaplain, performed the ceremony. Rutt went on to become Bishop of Taejeon and of Leicester.
