Burial Story
He was the son of Dr. and Reverend Albert Michi Jack and Mary Medora Bertha Gray. He was the oldest of six children, and was the brother of Albert, Marjorie, Ruth, Thelma, and Barbara. He was a graduate of Lisgar Collegiate Institute in Ottawa, Ontario. He was killed by a mortar fire when he went into action in Korea for the second time. During his service in Korea, he had given serious thought to studying for the ministry after his overseas duty. Following is the letter he sent home during his service in Korea:
Dear Family:
Your wonderful parcel arrived last night just like the Easter bunny. I sure got a kick out of opening up those individual unwrapped parcels. I guess I’m still a big kid at heart but I think there’s a little of a child’s delight in us all. I also received a nice letter from you recently.

I went to church yesterday a.m. took communion. My buddy Hank I were trying to imagine what all the new different Easter bonnets looked like, after recalling some of the creations in years past.
Tomorrow I start my 7th month over here will be on the down grade.
The latest word is we are moving to another location tomorrow as 5a.m. comes early I guess I’d better hit the rack now. Thanks again for being so good to me.
