The family members of the British interred, Mr. Smith E.W visited the UNMCK on 28 April 2008. Although the widow remarried after husband's death, she has never forgot the memories with him. Mr. Niegel J.W. Saunders, the son of Mr. Smith accompanying the widow said it's hardly to recall when he spent the time together with his father, but he feels proud of his father and will miss him forever. It was their first visit to the UNMCK, and they happened to know how to access the deceased's tomb on cyber memorial site of UNMCK.

They had a small meeting at the UNMCK Office, and then they held a small memorial ceremony, offering their condolences in his honor Ms. Smith offered flowers and family photos to the grave site, and felt sorry for not bring the memorial cross which was planned to dedicated to the deceased.

In loving memory of a dear father.
Although I never knew you, I have always been so proud of you and the sacrifice you made in the war.
Your memory has been kept alive for me by your loving family-parents, brother and sister.
Goodbye Dad, so very very sad at all you have missed your loving son Nigel

After the memorial ceremony, the family looked around the UNMCK, and visited Carabot Exibition Hall. They read the story displayed in the Hall, that one family rub-copied the plaque, they also would like to rub-copy of Mr. Smith's plaque.
Ms. Smith said it was valuable time to visit UNMCK and glad to know how well managed and organized the graves sites are. She left the office with a bright smile, expressing the gratitude for the UNMCK.
