UNMCK - UNITED NATIONS MEMORIAL CEMETERY IN KOREA

Hi, I am eunje Hwang,one of the Korean high school students. Korea is also a country that went through the Korean War in 1950, so I usually pay a lot of attention to the peace of the international community. Meanwhile, when I visited the United States last year, I also visited a park in memory of the sacrifices of Korean War veterans. There were the names of non-Korean foreign veterans and the statues of the soldiers who fought in the Korean War. That's when I realized there are a lot of foreign veterans except for Koreans. I had thought 'Korean war' was just the level of a small war in a small country called Korea, but it wasn't. For the sake of peace in Korea, I would like to thank you for being willing to leave your homeland and join us for peace in the international community. Without you, Korea would not be here. With your help, Korea found peace again.Just with your power,I got a chance to learn as an ordinary student and to pursue my own dream. Unfortunately, today, Korea was divided into south and north, but there is no doubt that Korea will be reunified from two countries to one country in the near future. In order to stop this war so that no more painful war take place again, please join us in wishing for peace on the Korean Peninsula.Please pray that everyone's efforts and sacrifices will not be wasted.
