Planning a visit in May, from the UK

Sir, Good morning, my name is Cpl George Barff, I am a member of the British Army, part of the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, attached to the 1st Battalion The Royal Welsh in the UK. Back in 2008, a friend and I visited the UNMCK during a trip around South Korea after just finishing a tour of Afghanistan. We were extremely impressed with the memorial but also felt bad that we had nothing to leave on behalf of our regiments. I visit South Korea regularly due to my wife being South Korean, though we only normally visit Incheon and Seoul. I am due to visit again between the 9th – 28th May and I have expressed my plans to my chain of command about wanting to go back to Busan’s War Memorial and leave something on behalf of the Royal Welsh Regiment and the REME. Both are keen to support me and are currently deciding how best to support my visit. I would be planning to visit down from Seoul on KTX for a day sometime between 13th – 17th May. I am messaging today to see if there is any protocol for such a visit. I should hopefully be seeing my Corps Sergeant Major this week to discuss what the Corps would like to do for the fallen soldiers. Thank you for your time and I look forward to your response.
