Hello, I am Yang Seyoung, an 18-year-old high school 2nd-grade student living in Korea. December is coming and winter has come to Korea. It's not that cold because December is the beginning of winter, but this winter is especially cold. It's over 12 degrees below zero in the evening, so I can't open the window in the morning. The cold wave of winter is getting worse and the corona in Korea, which was coping well, is getting worse again. Even if the number of confirmed cases per day exceeds 100, people were scared and stopped working. In just a month, the number of confirmed cases increased exponentially, and now it's 600 per day. Since the number of confirmed cases has recently exceeded 1,000, the number of confirmed cases has not decreased again and has remained in the 600 marks. In Korea, self-employed people were barely holding out because of the good quarantine, but now that there are so many confirmed cases, self-employed people are having a hard time. In particular, presidents who run places where people usually take off their masks, such as gyms and karaoke rooms, are already living day by day by closing their households and working on delivery. My older brother also registered to go to the gym, but Corona closed the gym, so he's just playing at home. I don't go to school, but I have classes at home. When I first started to live at home, I felt good because I didn't go out a lot. After a few months, I want to go out and work. As I stay still at home, my body feels numb and I realize how precious my old life is. The biggest test in Korea, the CSAT, ended a few weeks ago. I think all the test takers who took the CSAT went through a lot. However, when we took the CSAT in Korea, we installed transparent acrylic plates on every student's desk for prevention, and the acrylic plates were very problematic. Most high school seniors go to other high schools across the country to take exams. And the desks in high schools are really small. The size of the test paper is 27cm wide and 39cm long, but the desk where it was originally placed is small, so if you put a sheet of test paper on it, it becomes full. But when I put the acrylic plate on the desk, there was no space on the desk, so I couldn't even put all the test papers on the desk. So the test-takers had to take the test with the lower part of the test folded, even under the stuffy mask and the strong dry heater due to the corona. There were some students who couldn't take the test because the supervisor called them during the test because of the mask, and in some schools, all the students who were taking the test were damaged because the bell rang five minutes earlier than the original time. There were a lot of work and a lot of things going on, but it ended well. However, as soon as the CSAT is over, the number of confirmed cases has soared, and high school seniors are not able to go out and play freely. I think it's too bad. But the vaccine came out, so I'm already getting it in England, and I think the corona will be over soon. I should take care of my body and follow the quarantine rules so that I don't get caught in the corona. But thank you to all the veterans who allowed Korea to withstand the corona so well. Veterans, take care of your health and live a long life.

Sincerely, Se Yeong Yang
