We from Korea Veterans Association Unit # 58 North Bay, Ontario, Canada, also wish You a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year 2008. The photograph taken by Ms. Eun-jung Park expresses the words "Land of the Morning Calm" to perfection. I landed in the Busan harbour on November 07,1950 with the Advance Water Party Special Force in the Canadian Army. The scenes that greeted us all, were very different. Grim,depressing and filled with overwhelming sorrow. We used for shelter and equipment a school on Yong-do island for about 5 weeks then moved north until repatriated in February,1952.

I returned for a visit in 1995 and I'm very pleased your people did everything right. Your country really impressed us who visited especially how modern it has become. I didn't have an opportunity to visit the school then but I often wondered what it looks like now.
