My family research led me to discover a forgotten man who died fighting for his country, Roy England. He would be my 1st cousin, thrice removed. Son of Ernest William England and Blanche England (neé Warner), born on the 21st January 1921, he had an older sister called Jessie. He grew up in Hexthorpe, in Doncaster. In 1939, he was working as a drilling machinist in a local metal works. I believe he signed up to fight in Korea when it began as part of the Royal Regiment Of Artillery. He unfortunately died or went missing on the 3rd January 1951, he was only 29. May he rest in peace.
