Re: Dear Filipino Korean War Veterans In my response to Su-jin Kim's letter for the Filipino War veterans in the Korean War, as a Filipino, I am truly proud of what our soldiers did in that said conflict six decades back, they laid, paid and gave their lives and shed blood so that South Korea will not fall to the communist hands of course. it is not only the Philippines' who did the unthinkable and responded to the call of the United Nations, our country also fought side by side with Australia, Belgium, Canada, Colombia, Ethopia, France, Greece, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, South Africa, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom and the United States of America under the UN Flag at the same time. the friendship between Filipinos and South Korean folks are really unshakable and hard as a rock, just as the Turkish people do have with them for the most part as wartime allies. and most importantly, the sacrifices of the Filipino troops and the entire Korean war veterans will never be forgotten and won't be in vain at all and it's the same thing also for other countries for the most part.
