Hello. I'm Myungji Jeong from south korea. I'm 17 years old and student of Goyang global high school. I'm member of club named '우리42'. In my club, we talk about Korean war and communicate with men of national merit. Also, we planned a lecture of the Korean War and invited a lecturer to proceed. As we learned about Korean war, I got interested in other countries which participated in Korean war. Many countries participated in Korean war. France, England, USA are the examples of these. During Korean war, 16 countries sent troops, and five countries gave medical aid. Korean war is not just our story. It was world war. Without these countries' help, it would be hard to make the Military Demarcation Line. First, thank you. Especially, Ethiopian. During the outbreak of the Korean War in 1950, the Ethiopian emperor approved the dispatch of troops to Korea to promote the spirit of freedom. Ethiopia has been invaded by Italy in 1935, so this historic experience has shown that the United Nations must maintain the world peace with its strong collective action. The Ethiopian battalion arrived in Korea on May 6, 1951 and re-arrested into a weapon provided by the U.S. military and underwent an eight-week adjustment training session. The battalion originally took time to get used to the unfamiliar modern equipment and tactics, but later in the training session, it was either at the same level as other U.N. troops in handling communications and transportation equipment, or at a higher level. The battalion had its first battle with the Chinese forces in Hwacheon's Bongdangdeok-ri three days after its deployment. The battalion made a huge breakthrough in the four-hour battle. Then, the central battle center was busy stopping the assault on the Central Wing. The Ethiopian troops, the unit of Ethiopia, did not lose their single battle in the Battle of 253, a distinct military spirit. Then the emperor told the soldiers not to shoot at the back. It is shameful to have a shot in the back. I really respect you guys. Thank you.
