Dear William Speakman and all the other Korean War veterans Hello, My name is Yejun Lee and I am a second grade student in Dewon International MiddleSchool. I'm writing this to remember every people who participated in the Korean War, especially William Speakman, In 1950, South Korea suffered from a terrible disaster, the Korean War. When the Korean war happened, many soldiers from various countries came to help South Korea. One of the soldiers who came to help was you, William Speakman. First, I want to say thank you. It was probably a hard decision to fight for a country that is in the other side of the globe. To be honest, If I was you, I would have done nothing. But you had decided to stand up for our country. Because of your sacrifice, South Korea is able to prosper today. After I went to middle school and learned more about history, I learned that soldiers of wars are one of the most bravest people on earth. During a war, people to risk their life to build a better future. For the most of the time, people forget what happened during the Korea War, and I feel sad about this. I wish people think about what happened at least in memorial day or in June 25th when the Korean War started. But people should always remember that thanks to all the sacrifices and the heroic action of countless War veterans, we, people of Korea can live in a wonderful time of peace. Sincerely, Yejun Lee
