Dear. Unknown Soldiers Hello. My name is Na Hyeong Kim and I’m from Korea. I am currently in the third grade of Hwajeong Middle School. I am glad and honored to write a letter to the veterans. First, let me tell you about what I've been through since the exam was over. Two weeks ago, my midterm examination was over. My grades were not very high, but I was satisfied with the result. As soon as the exam was over, I used to hang out with my friends every day. I visited many various places with my friends, watched movies, and bought many things. I bought the things I had planned to have even before the exam, but actually I think they were my wants, not my needs. I think I should have thought more carefully before I buy it. I buy things that I don’t really need, and I collect them in my room and don't organize them. If I were a person during the Korean War, I would never have imagined that I clean up the mess in the room. I was happy that the exam was over, but I felt I had to work harder to organize the room and study harder. And I made up my mind to study history especially hard among subjects. I am not good at history, but I am interested in it. While learning history at school, I've seen a lot of tragic war that killed a lot of people. They shouldn't have happened. I was so sad to see those who were suffering from the war, and I felt how hard it must have been for the soldiers who participated in the war. Then I heard about Korean War’s veterans, and I got participated in the activities of Korean students making wreaths made of rose of sharon at the Korean War British Armed Forces saddle ceremony. Also, I wrote a letter to one of the many veterans, William Speakman. I think that without the help of veterans, our country would have suffered greatly from the hardships of war, and could not have grown as it is now. And I was moved, above all, by the sacrifice of veterans who fought hard even in unfamiliar surroundings. I pledge that I will always remember their achievements. And I want to say thank you to the families of the veterans, and I want to say that they have a great family. Thank you for reading and I hope that everyone become happy all day. :) From.
