UNMCK - UNITED NATIONS MEMORIAL CEMETERY IN KOREA

Dear Unknown Soldiers Hello, soldiers. I'm a 7th grade student from South Korea, and my name is Daeseung Kim. It’s a huge honor that I am writing a letter to you. I‘m a boy, and I like playing baseball and soccer with friends, and play with my dog, and playing games. I also watch many internet news, so I sometimes watch an article about Korean war veterans. Therefore, I have a lot of chances to learn about Korean War veterans. I am joining a club about Korean war veterans, because I want to know about them, and be thankful to them. When I'm doing that activities, I always learn about new information about Korean War, and your sacrifices. Before I knew this kind of information, I just thought 'People from other country helped us'. But now, I am so appreciate to them, and I want to explain your accomplishment to many people in South Korea who don't know about veterans' sacrifice and accomplishment. In these days, South Korea became very different than your memory. Our capital, Seoul became extremely gorgeous with many skyscrapers and beautiful Han-Ok, the Korean traditional house. Korea is beautiful country because present and past is still together. Like skyscrapers and Han-Ok. I hope you might visit Korea and watch the development of country that you saved. I don't have a dream that really want to, but one of my interests is car designing. I want to make a car that everyone can ride. I hope there will be no poverty in future, and everyone lives in peace. The subject that you did and I like is different, but I want to learn your sacrificing and braveness to make a peaceful world. Before I finish that, I will always remember your accomplishment and try harder to accomplish my dream. Korean people must remember people who sacrificed to Korea. I will try more harder to teach people about Korean war veteran's accomplishment. Without your sacrificing and braveness, there would be no more country named Republic of Korea. I think all of Korean people must know about this. That's why I am doing my club activities with passion. I am so appreciate to your accomplishment and honorable sacrificing. Korean people will work hard to develop the country you saved. I hope you would be happy with Korea's development. I will not forget about your accomplishment. You will be always in my mind.
