UNMCK - UNITED NATIONS MEMORIAL CEMETERY IN KOREA

My family travelled to Busan to visit the grave of my late Great Uncle Roy. Roy was my mother’s Uncle, they were close in age and grew up together.
2026 marks 75 years of the involvement of Australia in the Korean War and 75 years since Roy died in battle. We believe we may be the first family members to visit.
Later this year, on 07 Nov 26, the date Roy died, a ceremony will be held at the Australian War Memorial  called the Last Post which will honour his service.
We feel privileged to make this trip to see where Roy lies.  He died
as a loved husband, stepfather, son, Uncle and sibling.
