Hello, I am Jimin Ahn. I am 17 years old and I am a freshman in Hankuk Academy of Foreign Studies. Today, I wrote a letter to thank you for participating in the Korean War. The first thing I want to tell is that we’re living well thanks to you. I think we can live safely thanks to your support for us. How are you doing? The warriors in Korea are not being treated. So I’m a little worried and sorry because I’m afraid you’re not getting along. I think fighting in Korea, which is not even your country, is something that many people should respect you. Are you getting that much respect? If you do not we will always think about you. I always think that we are doing well thanks to you and I will try to let many people know. After the Korean War, South Korea was in a bad situation. But thanks to the efforts of many people, we are now at the top of the ladder. The quality of education has also increased, allowing students to receive a variety of education. I am interested in education because I am a student. It is also the development of the country that we can get a high level of education. And the reason why our country was able to develop is because many people helped us. Among them are you. I think our country won the war with your help, and that helped our country advance. And thanks to you, our country has stopped the war. If our country lost the war, it would probably be continuing. I have heard stories somewhere. Some of you went to war without knowing where Korea is or what it is. If it were me, I wouldn’t have been able to fight my life recklessly for a country that I don’t know where it is of what it is. That’s one of the reasons I am grateful to you. You have spared your precious lives for our small country. I think you might regret your participation in the war. You might not have had your youth for war, or maybe you haven’t seen your precious family. So I am trying to make sure you don’t regret it. I will live a little harder and study a little harder. I will try hard and get on the high ground, I will do something for you guys. I wrote a promotional post for a Turn Toward Busan event a while ago. For a minute silence and honor to those of you to take part in the Korean War. But I think a minute is too short for the youth you’ve used for us. So if I become a great person later on, I will try to set up an official day for you so that Korean students can have an education related to you. I might not be able to deliver exactly what I want to say to you because I am not good at English. But again, what I want to say is that thanks to you, Korea has become a good country, I have become a good student, and we can live well. Thank you, I will not forget it forever, I will try harder and become a great person. I love you!
