Dear Korean War veterans Hello. My name is Seyeong Yang, 18 years old. First I want to say thank you to your braveness and your sacrifice. These days, not only korea but also the whole world is suffering from COVID-19. People all over the world are now threatened with life by the COVID-19. There are many confirmed and dead people in Korea, and it has not yet relaxed. I'm not sure when this virus will be over. I think I'm still a little scared to go out because the confirmed cases are increasing day by day. It is very important not to go places where people are crowded. Also, I think everyone should be careful because the cure hasn't come out properly yet. Wearing mask all day is quite difficult to me. The mask seems to have made it much harder to communicate with each other. Currently, there are 1,2602 confirmed cases in Korea. We go to school once in two weeks and on days when we don't go to school, we have classes online. The teachers said that there were many inconveniences because they had to wear masks during the class. I try to stay as far away from my class as possible even when I eat school meals. In this situation, I felt great respect for the doctors and nurses working at the front line. It will never be easy to do their best for others in situations where they can be dangerous. I thought it was very similar to the veterans who helped us 70 years ago, the Korean War. Risking your own life for people you don't know, in a foreign country, is really impressive. How did you make such a big decision? I think it's really intense situation that you made this choice even you knew there would be a big sacrifice. I want to learn your braveness. 70 years have passed, but your courage still remains in many people's hearts. Learning history, I always appreciate your sacrifice. Now Korea has grown a lot economically and it is thanks to your bravery that I can live a comfortable life. Living in a peaceful country without war was your sacrifice. All my hobbies are free thanks to you. Thank you so much for fighting fiercely and bravely at the front of the war. I think your hard work is even more touching on the 70th anniversary of the war. Although it is heartbreaking that our country is still divided, I believe that unification will happen someday. I think there will be a lot of trauma left from the war, but I hope to ease the pain and always be happy. You have the right to be the happiest person in the world because there are so many people who are happy because of you. Once again, I would like to say thank you so much for bravely participating in the war of a small country across the sea. Thank you very much and I will never forget of your courage. sincerely Seyeong Yang
