Dear unknown soldiers Hello, soldiers. I'm a 8th grade student from South Korea named Garam Lee. I think it‘s honor to write a letter to you. To introduce myself, I‘m a boy who loves to play sports such as soccer, baseball, and basketball. I’m belonging to a club that writes letter for Korean War veterans and I usually spend time watching TV news and smart phone news as well. Therefore, I have a lot of chances to learn about Korean War veterans. One day, I saw an article about a Veteran. His name was Mr. William Speakman, who was buried at UN memorial cemetery in Busan a few days ago. He fought against the Chinese forces during the war and he even came back S. Korea once again after he recovered his leg injury. Then what I have thought is, there will be a lot more War heroes like him. This was the reason why I started to research about the other unknown soldiers. When I think of achievement that you made for my country, I feel very grateful. I wonder how you could give up everything that they had got in order to fight for the other country. If I were you, I’m sure that I would not volunteer for the army. I think it’s an immense braveness that you decided to fight for the country that you had never been heard and visited. My country, South Korea developed a lot than the time that you fought at that time. I want to show you how tall the buildings are in Seoul. All of these development were made by your sweat and tears. If you didn't help us, the country, S. Korea would not be existed. In the future, I would like to be a peacemaker like you who runs for the world peace. I will study absolutely hard and become a doctor to cure poor patients all around the world. I will render the whole people around the world healthy without discrimination such as amount of money, skin color and gender. I will volunteer for the world peace just same as what you have done in 1950s in my country. Dear Unknown soldiers, I really respect you and love you. Thank you for all of your sacrifice and achievement. I wish you to rest in peace and I will never forget you during my whole life. Thank you. Sincerely Garam Lee
